Day 41: What Kind of Small Business Do We Want?

Day 41:  What kind of small business do we want?  Why is this a question?  My economic development or chamber organization can’t control who starts a business in my community, you say to yourself.  As I pointed out in Day 39, it is very important to get involved in the endeavor of entrepreneurial efforts.  I also discussed Targeted Industries on Day 11.  Small business is equally as important to think about and target.  Here is an interesting blog I discovered that discusses the importance of identifying growth entrepreneurs from the Center for Rural Entrepreneurship.  http://energizingentrepreneurs.org/elibrary/.files/Newsletter%20docs/10%20Keys%20to%20Economic%20Success/Key%20No.%206%20Growth%20Entrepreneurs.pdf
